Born and raised in Michigan, David graduated from high school in Saginaw, Michigan and then attended Michigan State University, majoring in economics with a minor in history.

After graduating from MSU in 2006, David joined Schonfeld Group’s Ferris fund, a high frequency hedge fund out of Atlanta, as a prop trader. At Ferris, David specialized in financial stocks and engaged in market-making and statistical arbitrage.

David joined FinTech in 2008 where he facilitates and manages order flow, communicates with and trades on behalf of clients, and collects and distributes research to FinTech customers.
In his spare time he enjoys hiking, biking, and kayaking as well as cooking, reading, playing guitar, playing on the computer, and Detroit sports.
